A very interesting and scenic campground. The day use area is part of the campground and uses the same bath house. There is a great paved bike trail called the IRC trail not far from the campground. Devonian fossil gorge was interesting. Iowa city is much nicer than doing business in Coralville. There is a lack of information about checking in. Another camper informed us that the check-in time at kiosk is 4pm. Must register. Overall a very pleasant stay on the west side of tailwater.

Awesomely pleasant campground. Beautiful sunny site with a large shaded area behind it for sitting and picnicking. Lots of space between sites. The river trail and fossil area are wonderful short hikes or visits. Lots of special birds on the river trail. Fun to watch all the fisherfolk along the shores of the tailwater.

We have been camping in this campground for years. Extremely disappointed this year to find that 2 of the full hook-up sites have been given to volunteer hosts who don't even "host" for that campground. Full hook-up sites are hard enough to come by as it is. One of those sites happens to be the only site that has handicap-accessible access to the bathroom and shower houses. Shame on you USACOE!!! The federal government should know better and DEIA is a top priority for them (I work for them too). To top it off, this site has more "stuff" in it than most residential yards and it looks trashy. Very disappointing.

After the local Corps blocked out certain sites it makes it extremely difficult to secure full hook-up sites.

Great camp ground even the ones that don’t have full hook ups. That would be the only thing we would like to see improved.

Tail water is part of a large campground complex associated with the Coralville Lake impoundment. The sites are nicely spread out and generously sized. The power post was in good condition and the campground water was clean, clear and without odor or taste.

An excellent value.
