We as a retired couple love to plan extended stays at Prairie Flower Campground since we live about 100 miles from Polk City and can enjoy a clean and quiet stay with available areas in Ankeny & Des Moines to eat and shop!! Information is available from the very helpful check-in station staff and rangers if needed!! Our grandchildren are only 10 miles away and enjoy coming out to stay overnight for camp fires and games!! Also we have an annual camping outing for Labor Day with 5-6 other families with Prairie Flower being a central location for meeting!! Fun is had by ALL!!
