Always an annual favorite in the Spring and Fall. Beautiful sunsets at the end of the park!!

We set up as noone in booth. Bob and two rangers came over and we found out Bob cancelled our reservation and decided we were no show. Another camper was coming in. We were adamant we were not moving. We had to go up and pay again and it worked out. I see nothing about a no show policy or a number to call. Why did Bob decide to cancel? We did get an apology from the other hosts who live near the checkin and will be back because of their understanding and help. I recall her last name same as mine. Thank you to the Brown's. We enjoyed a peaceful stay.

This campground was beautiful! The sites were spacious and the greenspaces were lovely. We enjoyed the walking trails even though it was incredibly hot the weekend we were there. The lake was nice, although the bottom is a very clay-gooey surface. Be sure to gather your garbage and distribute to the receptacles at night as we had some critters visit and make a big mess of our bags. I had put them in the back of the pickup but that didn't trick them! We can't wait to come back and try a different campsite location for another fantastic view!

We offer a limited supply of firewood at the campground. If you want to ensure you have firewood for your stay, please plan on bringing your own supply. Travelers entering Iowa are strongly encouraged to leave out-of-state firewood behind. |

Camping units are restricted to one wheeled unit and two tents, or three tents per site. A maximum of eight persons per campsite is allowed. |
