Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

The campground office hours are after 5pm. This campground is within walking distance to a railroad track that has locomotives blowing horns as they go by all during the night.

Nice little campground with excellent view of the water. Boat ramp is unusable so I have to go down the road to use a different boat ramp.
