Host was great with getting sites picked even though we had to move for the weekend as the original site was booked prior to us staying.

Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

We stay here once or twice every year. Beautiful views of the river. Sites are concrete and gravel. Nicely leveled. Water access very close.

Camp host was very nice and accommodating. Took care of everything for us to move our site our last day with a better view of the Mississippi River and closer to the bath facilities.

Every thing went well and was very family oriented. My 4 year old son and I stayed the night in the camper having no issues with noise. The camper next to us had LED’s flashing all night so that was a little rough. Besides asking fellow campers to not flash lights all night the only other thing I would suggest is water hook ups per campsite. Not being able to hook up to water is kind of a bummer.
