The campsite was neat and clean. Shady as requested.
Lady at the gate was VERY helpful, friendly and professional.
The bathroom was clean, but it was very humid that day and no A/C, so didn't feel like I could get dried off if I took a shower. But, we were camping, so I understand........
But A/C would be nice.

This campground has very spacious sites. It was very quiet and friendly. The sites are concrete with a concrete patio. They are very long and easy to navigate. The park rangers came by often, which was nice to see. Gina, the host, was very gracious and answered any questions we had. We had an issue with our RV while there. We extended our stay until the issue was resolved and Gina was very accommodating. We will be back soon!

Beautiful place to stay. Very serene. In my humble opinion I think we had the best site in the park..#4. Granted, it was in the middle of the week so the number of RV’s was small. But the view of the river I think is the closest of all the other campsites with nothing obstructing the view other than a few trees that are bankside. 5+ stars!

Beautiful campground with responsive host. Site 12 has such a beautiful view of the river. Many activities to do in the area including state parks with hiking and nearby towns with activities. We had such a restful stay. Can’t wait to visit again.

Your park ranger I believe Patty was excellent and wealth of information! Very well maintained and great view of the river. Great location too being so close to Wildcat Den state park for hiking and Muscatine for restaurants, shops and biking. Also enjoyed bike trails around Moline. We love camping at Army Corp of Engineer campgrounds! Great facilities and very well maintained and staffed!!

Shady Creek is accessible via Highway 22, which connects to major roads in the region.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
