Great campground as most ACE campgrounds are. On the Mississippi, with great views. Level, paved sites, electric only. Good site spacing. Highly recommend.

Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

Beautiful campground on the Mississippi River. Barges are easily visible. Clean and well taken care of. Host is extremely helpful. Another gem in the Corp park treasure trove.

The camp ground was nice, a couple of mis steps. There was a full dumpster for 3 days, are site was surrounded by rising water. Wouldn't recommend the camp sites, 23, 22, 21 when water is high. That being said we had a great time and plan on going back

The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a very quiet park and I didn't find the train that passed by to be a problem at all. There was enough of a tree buffer zone that it's noise seemed more distant and just added to the trip as I love trains!.

Nice campsites near the river, some with a water view. Dump station and fresh water available. Watch barge traffic.
