The staff was excellent but from a facility standpoint the boat dock area needs to be dredged so boats can use the landing.

Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

For the most part Shady Creek is clean and well maintained . The bathroom/shower house could use a little work. One stall on the men's side was out of order before we arrived and was still unusable when we left a week later.. Water pressure is scaled back so far in the others they must be flushed 5 an 6 times to perform what one flush should have easily accomplished

The campground is nice. The bathrooms are clean, but could use some ventilation. It gets hot in there.
The boat ramp needs dreged out, as it's too shallow to launch a boat without motoring through mud.

From Davenport, Iowa, drive west on Highway 22 about 17 mi and turn at the Shady Creek sign.
