Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

Overall the camp is very clean and tidy both in the shower room and the camping grounds. The cement slabs to park on our excellent, raised up, and clean. The only thing that needs to be improved on is the fresh drinking water that comes from the well which has a high sulfur content and smells and tastes very bad.

Nice Spot, not too close to anyone. Had enough room to setup for the 4 dogs that were with the families.
