Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

Camp host very friendly and welcoming. All areas of the campground are well taken care of. Twenty minutes to Davenport where Quad Cities River Bandits play minor league baseball. About 2 mi to Pine Creek Grist Mill, a historic and interesting place. There is a state park up the hill from the grist mill. We enjoyed watching the barges on the Mississippi River.
