Shady Creek is a well-maintained campground along the Mississippi River, offering spacious, level concrete sites and a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff, clean facilities, and scenic views, as well as the proximity to local attractions like Wildcat Den State Park. While some noted issues with bathroom maintenance and nearby train noise, the overall experience is positive, making it a favored spot for short getaways.

The sites handled my 36’ motorhome and towed Jeep.
Great views of the Mississippi River and passing tugboats and barges.
Wildcat State Park is close by and well worth a visit.

Clean and neat, well-maintained campground. Was just an overnight for me while traveling, so did not explore the area beyond the campground and associated facilities. Definitely would come back again when I have more time to explore the mighty Mississippi and adjacent areas. Restrooms and showers were especially maintained and well cleaned. Upon arrival, the staff had my reservation in hand and were friendly and very efficient.

The park was mostly closed, but we snagged one of the few open RV sites. It is a very nice, small campground with paved sites and electric on site. The Mississippi is lovely. This was just a stopover for us but we would definitely come back!
