The grass needs to be cut more than once a week, and the tall grass needs to be cut down near the water so people that camp next to it can see the water and to keep the ticks down. when we were camping, we were fighting the ticks most of the time we are camping. the tall grass is obstructing the view of the lake. instead of island view it should be GRASS VIEW.

Some of the trees could be trimmed up higher, in the H section. Especially over where the campers are parked in the site. Everything else is great.

They do need to fill water holes in gravel at camp sites.

Enjoyed our stay at Island View. The sites were spacious and easy to back in. The view was great other than a lot of growth between the lake and campsites which blocked the view. The shower/bathroom facility was as nice but there was only 1 for the whole area. The bathrooms were ok but soaps all empty. The nonflushable north bathroom in R section was totally disgusting !

We have camped here in past years and enjoy spending time with family.
Because my husband and I had to leave early, a nephew asked if he could park his electric truck on our spot to recharge. We left on Friday July 4th but had paid up through Sunday. My husband gave him the car tag and we left.
We learned later that this was against the rules and our nephew had to move his truck.
I don't understand why this was a violation. We had paid for the site and basically turned it over to him.
This soured our experience.

Overall we love this campground. I didn’t rate it higher than 3 stars because we have slowly seen the campground go downhill. This year the bath house was disgusting. We also experienced fireworks within the campground which would not be a problem had we not specifically gone to get our dogs away from the firework noise. This is our 5th year traveling down and the first year we’ve experienced the fireworks and the unclean bath house.

Our vampire A 09 had a huge water induced rut when entering the site. It needs to be repaired.
The campground was not a peaceful campground that we hoped for. It was crazy with all the campers boats and toys.

Beautiful campgrounds, nice and flat and big sites. Beware of speed bumps they just put in, they are extremely hard on campers and boats.
