My children and I were going to be passing thru very late at night and needed a place to camp. I called Christy about the late check in and she was so kind and helpful and took care of everything over the phone. She even called me back and gave me a campsite closer to the bathrooms because she thought it would be better for us. This is a great campground. Yes, you can hear the cars on the interstate, but we were in a tent so you hear everything, including all of the birds, which we enjoyed. Bathrooms were nice and very clean. They have a pool, gaga ball, playground, jumping pillow, horseshoes, campfire area, and a sandbox. The grounds were very nice. We ejoyed our very brief stay but would gave loved to have stayed longer.

Im a full-time Rv鈥檙 and this is by far my favorite park thus far. My bus is huge, has 4 AC units, and takes a massive amount of electricity when plugged in. Due to this, my bus burned out the 50amp breaker (this is my bus鈥檚 fault, it happens sometimes. The campground breaker was fine until I got ahold of it 馃槀馃槄). But the reason I鈥檓 mentioning it is because it wasn鈥檛 even 5 minutes later that Moises showed up to replace the breaker for me. I鈥檓 also pretty new to the full-time rv life, and he even took the time to teach me a few things I didn鈥檛 know! He went even further and helped me fix my leaky water hose. I couldn鈥檛 recommend this place enough. The staff, atmosphere, and overall experience is above and beyond expectations, and continues to be so every single day. I LOVE Timberline!!!

This is an older, former KOA, but still at this posting honoring the KOA membership discount. Pads are gravel, ours quite unlevel, but close to the showers. Super nice folks, Molly and Maria womaning the desk are super helpful. If you are looking for shade it鈥檚 here: the park is quite mature and beautiful trees are ample. If you are looking for shade, they can give it to you. Showers and restrooms are dated but very clean, warm water abundant, and they even provide hair and body wash dispensers in the showers, something you don鈥檛 see often out here on the interstate.
We did not utilize this, but you can call up to the office and request stuff from the store be brought to your site. There was a crucial delivery of two bags of ice brought to the site directly across from us. It鈥檚 a nice place to stay in Newton, Iowa.

I really enjoyed my camping experience at this location. The staff was super friendly on the phone when I booked the site. The bathrooms were clean. The camping spot perfectly met my needs. Best of all a free breakfast. I was so surprised to get free pancakes and coffee. I definitely will make this location my go to place on my rt 80 road trips. Thanks!

We stayed from September 2025 to end of May 2026. Jeff and Moses have been great especially during the winter time. It was one of the best stay we had at an RV. Moses and Jeff was have the know and the experience but they are there for their guest. Our dogs, we鈥檙e happy to go to the K9 park. They pulled us to the park but dragged going back to the RV. Laundry rooms kept nice and clean and if you need a shower, they are nice size shower rooms. Thank you Jeff and Moses for everything! This adventure has been great!
