Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

My husband and I love Howell Station. We have been camping there for 15 years, it is a beautiful Campground. It has wonderful, paved walking and biking trails. It's right by the river and Red Rock Dam. The camp sites are large and far apart from each other. Nice flat ground. Well kept. beautiful flowering trees etc. We have been to other campgrounds and as far as we have found, there is no other that can compare to Howell Station.

Howell was very scenic. Lots of hiking, biking opportunities. Great sites. Clean bathrooms. Firewood available. Only negative is that cell phone signal was very inconsistent. Will definitely book a site there again in the future.

The bath houses could use more shower stalls, but the bathroom are kept very clean. One of the shower heads did not work in one of the men's bathrooms. There is not a sign covering a range of spots, so it made finding the spot very hard. It would be nice to have water spouts outside the bath houses as another place to get water. There are a lot of water spots within the campground though. The campground is very quiet and has so much green space, which are two of the reasons we keep going back. The volunteers are very nice. There are multiple dump and water fill stations. Access to the walking and bike trail is close and so nice to have.
