This is a lovely campground with excellent access to the Volksweg Bike Trail. There is a large beach close by as well. Driving into Pella is also easy and it’s a delightful little town. Many of the sites are on the short side, so pay close attention to the length indicated online. They do, however, have many parking spots that are convenient to the campsites either for visitors or if your vehicle won’t fit. Lots of trees giving shade as well. Bathrooms are all individual toilet/sink/shower units that are modern and very clean.
The only criticism I have is that the dump station is basically right next to the road into the campsites so it can create problems if multiple people are waiting to use it. It’s also the only place to fill your water tank (how I wish they would put water hook-ups at the sites!!).
Bottom line is that we would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful site with lake view, but beware... there is NO shade in the afternoon. New clean bathrooms.

The filling station is really inconvenient and takes a long time to leave. Very hard to get your campers in a lot of spots without having people move their cars to help
You do you don’t hit a tree.

We camp here every year in the same spot. The new restrooms are fantastic. I did notice that the restrooms are cleaner this year, and that is appreciated.

Second time staying at this location. There is a bit more traffic noise in the spots I have occupied. It might be more quiet further away from the road. The shower/restrooms are individual vs some of the older sites where they have a more communal arrangement. Always have been clean and well taken care of. My spots have also been by the dump and fresh water fill station which made it more active especially on Sundays.
