Very clean and well maintained campground. The showers and toilets were always spotless. (No one likes to shower with bugs, mud or other people’s hair in the drains.) Lots of shade and nice picnic tables. The access to paved trails was a plus. We did not use the beach, but it was close enough to walk and was included with our camping fee. This campground offered easy access to major roads and nearby Pella, Knoxville and Oskalooska. The only drawback was the traffic noise which was the payback for the location that we wanted.

We were camped at site 7, excellent for bathroom/shower access, very short walk. The shower/bathrooms were very nice, private, one camper per unit. One negative about the shower facilities, there was no outlet to plug in a hairdryer etc. Another negative, and I understand why, water saver, but the showers are push button, I counted to 7, how long they run until you push it again. And just by chance I used the handicapped side one time. I counted to 20, much better experience. Otherwise they were kept up, always clean, soap to wash your hands. My one negative about that campsite number 7 is the highway noise that ran parallel to the campsite road. It wasn’t as peaceful as it could’ve been with out the road noise.

The campground was clean, friendly quiet, and very helpful. Came to our campground to inform us the bridge into Pella was going to be closed for a few days and how to get around. We did not use the restroom but did check them out, very clean. Pella was a very nice town and the bakeries were excellent, along with the Amsterdam restaurant.
