Surprise Pella Balloon Fest while we were there. (Our neighbor told us we lucked out because his friend with a balloon had to cancel at the last minute!). Campground is lovely, extremely well-kept, and clean. Showers were roomier than many have in their own homes!

Our family enjoyed our overnight stay at this site. The lot was easy to get into and the facilities were very clean and well maintained. If we are back in the area, we'll definitely stay here again.

Good, clean camoground. Showers/toilets were amazing! Volunteers of course doing all the work including cleaning. Access to the trails and beach was a great plus.
4 stars because the road noise is pretty bad, it's a county road but it's the major route between Pella and Knoxville. Also the dump station is in the road in the main part of the campground, causes lot's of traffic troubles at certain times.
Verizon service ranged from good to useless, depending on where you were located. #8 cell service was terrible.

Stayed on a weekend night (holiday weekend) in June. The area is lovely and well shaded, sites are pretty close together. All in all we liked the place and would return.

We offer a limited supply of firewood at the campground. If you want to ensure you have firewood for your stay, please plan on bringing your own supply. Travelers entering Iowa are strongly encouraged to leave out-of-state firewood behind. |
