usually I camp at whitebreast but closed so we tried walashuck, nice campground. As i replied last year the campgrounds are closing at the most beautiful time of the year. the leaves do not even start to turn until the 3rd week of October. Many people I talked to at the campground agreed. I have heard about why dry camping is not allowed anymore and was told new manager from saylorville does not allow that do to homeless people. I have dry camped for over 40 years at whitebreast and not seen this problem in rural knoxville. I hope the new manager will rethink this decision.
thank you for time.

We had a great weekend. Wish there was better access to trash cans. And in this day and age internet access is important. County parks have sewer and water the Government should step up and upgrade. Like the price though. Thanks

Absolutely amazing space. The stars, the grounds, the walk, the site - everything about this space was fantastic. If you like camping to get away from people and the stresses of life, this is the space to do it. Big lots with good power. Bit of a walk to the showers/bathrooms, but the walk there is cathartic. We stopped here for one night on our trip across the US in July, and made sure to stay again on our way back in October.
Both visits were spectacular.
