What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Beach Campground is a well-maintained, clean, and quiet facility with spacious campsites, friendly staff, and immaculate bathrooms. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during weekdays. However, some noted the lack of a sandy beach for swimming and occasional noise from nearby live music on weekends, along with minor maintenance issues that could be addressed. Overall, guests recommend the campground for its value and pleasant experience.

I've been to Sandy Beach Campground at least a dozen times. It's a comfortable, small, well-maintained, clean campground with sites that aren't on top of each other. The bathroom is pristine. This is a quiet campground (most of the time) and I've never been there where there are loud parties. Some sites have a fabulous view! During the week days (S-Th) those sites are amazing! They are huge and overlook the water. Be warned, however, that all summer long (into the fall) on the weekend nights those fantastic view sites are not so peaceful as the bar across the water has live music loud enough you can't listen to your own music. That said, sometimes the live music is quite enjoyable. To note: there isn't really a sandy "beach" where you would want to hang out and swim. It's more about boats. There is no real hiking options without going to the other side of the lake (by car or boat). Good gravel biking location.

The campground was clean and well maintained, the campsites were fairly level and easy to park the RV in. The only drawback to the area was the boat launch, they did not have a dock in so it was a little tougher getting everyone in the boat.

Residents are extremely nosey and invade your privacy. It's a beautiful area, I enjoy driving through when I have some time to think about things.

Facilities were well kept and very clean, staff members that I interacted with were very friendly, and fun to talk to. The tent campsites we were on were on a bit of a slope so it was a little tricky to find a flat/level space to pitch the tents, but we were able to find "good enough" eventually. Otherwise, the whole experience was excellent, campground was calm, quiet, and peaceful. 10 / 10, will definitely be back several times a year for the foreseeable future!

The campground people are very friendly and helpful, the campsites are mowed and easy to back into. The fire rings are tidy and there are plenty of trees and shade. The campground is next to the boat ramp and beach. It’s a very nice campground with a playground for the kids. We stay here often ♥️
