What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Beach Campground is a well-maintained, clean, and quiet facility with spacious campsites, friendly staff, and immaculate bathrooms. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during weekdays. However, some noted the lack of a sandy beach for swimming and occasional noise from nearby live music on weekends, along with minor maintenance issues that could be addressed. Overall, guests recommend the campground for its value and pleasant experience.

We enjoyed our holiday weekend at Sandy Beach. The staff at the entrance shack are both friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are very clean. I saw the woman go in to spruce up/check paper/empty trash several times a day. The showers had hot water. The lawn was mowed, the firepits were clean, and the pads were flat where we were. Highly recommend !

We were on the first loop which has fewer sites. The other loop has more sites which are closer together, some of them even share the driveway. I guess that's fine if you are camping with friends/family. There are two shower house/bathrooms which were clean. Good place for a convenient stopover. There are no trails but we drove to the state park to hike. There is also a public beach.

All was very good. We just would have loved to have seen the beach taken care of better. Combed out or sifted to remove some of the gravel from the sand. From past experiences also .... we remembered the beach being so much bigger but unfortunately weeds have taken over too.
