Our campsite was very slim on gravel so we had alot of mud tracked in our camper. The swimming beach was disgusting. There was geese poop and piles of other animals poop in every section of the sand. I know the water was receding after being high but there is no excuse for not cleaning the beach sand of animal excretions daily. The shower/bath walls have paint peeling off and not appealing at all. It looks like someone put noncompatible paint over the previous paint. The water temp and pressure was good. The playground area is very small. We will not be back to this campground especially with grandchildren.

Sugar Bottom is a beautiful campground. Great amenities and amazing surroundings.

Beautiful tent campsite right on the water. Unfortunately, the campground does not enforce quiet hours and some campers were up partying VERY loudly until 1:30am. If you are looking to enjoy the sound of nature at night, look elsewhere. Very unfortunate since the location is beautiful.

Great place, clean , super nice people and most of all, quite. I think small kiddie pools should be ok for the dogs. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting by the water. The only downfall was that due to the high water level, fishing and swimming was not the best. Not a fault of the campground.

The spot was very small and not flat. It was very hard to pull in without the truck going done in to the ditch. There was not enough room to park the truck as u can’t park on the grass. So we had to go park It up by the Bathroom. The 50w plug was bad and arcing. We had to run off the 20w. The electric box was popping the breaker. If we used more than our AC. The park ranger came and looked at it said he would be back with tape, but never came back.
The spots are so close to each other that kids were running through our site. We could not put our awning out because it was too close to the fare pit.

Great location, get ready for a steep curvy climb into the park. The lake was nice and so were the staff. Very clean!

Even though you are surrounded by campers, the walk-in campsites feel secluded. The bath house was clean and water hot. We enjoyed our stay.

The location is boxed in between 2 other campers with a very small green space that basically stares at the backside of another RV. The picture in the reservations shows a nice view of the lake but this would only happen if no other RVs were near by
