Camped in 26 ft. motorhome in sites 309 (FHU) and 37 (elec only). Both were level sites. Firewood was available for purchase. Sites vary - some are beautifully wooded and some (by the water) have no shade at all. Bathrooms are clean.

Sugar Bottom is a beautiful campground with lots to do. We stayed in site #306, a FHU site that was level. There is lots to do - biking, swimming, hiking and of course relaxing around a campfire. Firewood was available for purchase. Few sites are FHU, some have electricity and water, and some have electricity only. Most of the sites are level.

We reserved a tent camping site, somewhat by guesswork as the map on the website was down when I was making reservations. The tent spot was GORGEOUS, right on the edge of the lake with a big tree for shelter. The site wasn't flat, but we managed to find a good place to set up. The bathrooms were out of site, not actually far away but there was a small hill in the way which was disconcerting until we figured out where to look (fine for adults, too far for small kids). The bathrooms themselves were outstanding, single room bathroom/shower areas, and wonderfully clean and well kept. The overall campground was mostly RVs and was very busy although it was nice and quiet at night. I was a little surprised at exactly how big it was as much of my recent camping has been more remote, but since we were on the edge it wasn't overwhelming.
This campground and surrounding areas were gorgeous. The lake was very large, but had lots of inlets to explore. I was wishing I had my kayak! Lots of beautiful hiking trails. The beaches were well kept and I was a bit sad it was too cool for us to go swimming.
Overall, a very nice campground and we are considering a return trip!

We have stayed at Sugar Bottom many times over the years. We knew this particular site very well from past visits. Camp sites are very clean and well kept.

The park was very clean! But it was like the wild Wild West!! No one in force the rules and regulation, had little kids running around with a go cart flying around the road and camp site and the Beach. Had grown-up running around on a minibike on the road and gassing Area. People come in wash their RV with soap and water, dogs running around not on Leash.
