Love this campground. Shower houses are kept very clean. Only issue is having to walk to another facility with the construction on the one that serves our area, and they are not making any progress this summer. Should be working on it all summer - wouldn't take a month to complete. Views of the Lake are fantastic. Very nice Hosts.

Camp site had tree branches hanging really low, making it impossible to get in without scratching up my rv. Other than that, the campground is beautiful. The swimming hole is great.

Sugar Bottom is such a nice campground. Everyone was super nice it’s quite a peaceful place. We will definitely be back.
We were in spot 53 and it’s not bad at all close to the bathrooms, dump station and the dumpsters.

I first visited Sugar Bottoms as a teenager, although it has changed considerably, it is still beautiful.

The map shows a shower house near campsite 35. That shower house does not exist. It’s under construction. I wish they would update the map. Also, I had trouble leaving due to wet and slippery hilly roads from the rain the night before. Wheels just were spinning trying to get up the hills. Recommend 4WD

Nice hosts, clean bath/showers, the grass was neglected, full hook up sites were pretty close together but had decent shade. Very to the local towns which had great food trails etc. The trails at the campground were short. It's a great place to stay if you want to visit Coralville or Iowa City. The swimming area at the lake had a water quality warning sign.
