Nice spot. Shady. Only issues sewer hookup ran uphill. Hard to dump tanks.

We enjoyed the group camp site especially the shelter. We are able to visit, cook, and have group meals. It is close to playground& restrooms. The kids have room to run and play. My one big suggestion is some fans in the restrooms. It is so hot and stifling in them, it is dangerous.

We absolutely love Cherryvale! The grounds are clean and taken care of. Nice roads and plenty of room on camper parking pads. Great crappie fishing! We go every year. Great place to take your family!

The Group Site #G-1-SL00 is a favorite for our big group camping gathering. There are 6 typical trailer usable camping spots, and 1 popup or very small trailer usable spot. The small spot is 'Y'd' off another spot, you have to park in the 'Y' first, or hand truck in your camper. All spots have water, electric and sewer hookups.
This group loop, is slightly private having it's own drive through loop off the main camping area; features a large covered shelter with 5 permanent tables; indoor fireplace; 2 separate plug outlets (that do NOT have enough power); night light that can be turned on during the day; large elevated outdoor fire ring; built in outdoor benches and a small camping table with benches (kid sized).
Our group loves to camp here.
Things that need improving are: More amperage for outlets in the shelter (we can only run 1 electric skillet and NOTHING else, or we pop the breaker on the pole and have to have camp hosts come reset, which is not fast). Better tree removal at the camping spots for campers moving in. There needs to be a way for a single or a couple of people that come in early for group camping to be able to pay for their 1 slot without having to rent the entire group for 1 night.
The lake is fabulous for fishing, verrrrrryyyy boat busy on weekends, and features a beach.
8 out of 10 recommend.

We stayed in the north loop and it was very pleasant. It was nice and quiet so we were able to sit and visit with family. We enjoyed out cook outs and walks. It was a great experience. The lake and campground is so close to Cherryvale so it is easy to run into town to see family and pick up anything that we might need.

Good Campground, but need to knock down all the dead trees around the sites. There were 6 dead trees that would hit our camper if they fell towards it

The park was beautiful and clean as it always is when we come to Big Hill. It is my wife and my favorite place to camp. This is the first time we camped on this side of the lake as we needed to have sewer and the other side does not have sewer. My problem was the slope of the campsite was so steep that the tongue of my trailer was literally on the ground and I was still not able to get fully level. So I will camp on this side of the lake again, but will have written down some more level spots.

Stayed in the #10 spot and there was a large loud group in the pavilion and there were a number of dogs barking all day. No relaxing was had that weekend. We checked out better spots for more seclusion.
