Camp ground's are over run with weeds obviously the company that has contract to mow are lazy or just don't know what they are doing cause it's in the worst shape i've ever seen!!! couldn't hardly find the fire ring because there was so many weeds around it.

Love coming to Mound Valley. Been coming here for over 35 years. It's only two hours away from our home. Sites are nicely spaced apart with plenty of trees for privacy. Easy access to the lake so we can park our boat along the shore. Good fishing from the shore or from the boat. Nice well maintained boat ramps with wind protection provided by the dam. Exceptional sandy swim beach. Nice paved roads throughout.

Good site, but very uneven. Great view of lake challenged by loud and vulgar people screaming and playing music every evening. Trail down to water convenient, but too steep for large kayak to easily traverse. Area is beautiful.

From Cherryvale, Kansas, take U.S. Highway 169 and turn east onto Main Street. Continue through the town and turn right onto Olive Street. Go 1/2 a block and turn left onto County Route 5000. Proceed 4.5 miles to Big Hill Lake and follow signs to Mound Valley.
