It was a fun weekend wish I knew a little more before we visit. Our site was very rocky for a tent.

Very, very disappointed that the swim beach was closed. If the park management was so concerned about social distancing, they could have closed it off to the public who wanted to use it for "day use" but still allowed the camping patrons of the Park to use it. A special pass to the beach could have been issued to each patron as they checked in. As it was the different camping families still went swimming...they found the way down to the lake from their campsites, risking falls from steep, uneven terrain and walking through the weeds and poison ivy.
Oh my, the Poison Ivy!! The Park had better come up with some form of control because its encroaching on all the campsites. There are some campsites on the Mound Valley side that are completely encircled by the Poison Ivy.

Mound Valley campground on Big Hill Lake is a wonderful campground. The sites are roomy and very well maintained. In fact, the entire park is very well maintained. Park Rangers patrolled the park regularly and often in the evening, making for a safe and relaxing experience. The only drawback was poor bank fishing.
