Great spot overall! My only criticism is that it is mostly designed for an RV as the ground isn’t entirely level for camping.

We love Council Grove Reservoir and camping there. It's got good fishing for several species and the lake isn't generally crowded. The campground is just down the road from the city and a short drive to Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat with the granddaughters and rest of the family. Hannah with the COE was very helpful with a question about the reservation system and discounted rates and she resolved our dilemma nicely.
