What Guests Are Saying
Whitehall Bay offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with great lake views and spacious sites, making it an ideal retreat for those looking to escape the city. The camp hosts and park rangers are friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall enjoyment for visitors. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use improvements and the access road is challenging, many guests appreciate the cleanliness and the serene environment.

We loved this site. It looked out over the lake and felt remote. Everything worked as it should. Park host seemed to be readily available, although we didn’t need anything. We had fun riding our bikes in the area. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because of the road to get to the campground. Whew! Treacherous at times! You’ve got to hope that you don’t come across anyone coming at you with a big rig, because the roads are TIGHT!

The roads around the lake to the campground are horrible. They are very narrow and falling apart. The campground itself was very dated and the facilities are old and nasty.

I only stayed 2 nights, but I found the campground to be peaceful and well-treed. My only disappointment was with the women’s bathroom. Of the 2 toilet stalls, 1 toilet bowl was clogged and the other stall’s door neither locked nor stayed closed. If the bathrooms were to be better maintained I would stay there again.

Great place to stay without camping so close together that you can reach out and literally touch your neighbor. Lots of room to move around, clean restrooms with free showers, water side camping at many sites, nice swimming area located near the boat ramp with a generous beach that is well maintained. Lots of shade up on the hill with sites that have full hookups including sewer at a reasonable price. We love this area and spend a lot of time here in the spring through the fall. Highly recommend this campground.
