The overall experience was great, the grounds where very well cared for - we met the camp hosts very friendly, made sure we didn't need anything - nice. The only thing I wish they would open the bridge for walking and bike crossing - that would be nice to have that the are is beautiful- it would be nice to take a bike ride across the bridge to the other side without having to go dirt roads. (understand vehicle cross is no longer - but foot traffic or bike). Please consider. Thx.

A nice cg and site + a terrific spring oasis from the KS brown and wind. Camp hosts were pleasant and helpful. The dam and river were interesting, and the sound of running water was pleasant. BEWARE, there are 2 entrances to the cg, on either end of the dam road - miles apart. Both have signs, saying "Bridge Closed" - with no info or explanation. I only learned the facts by risking being stuck or having a difficult turnaround. The cg is split on each side of the post-dam river, previously connected by a big, county owned bridge. With it being closed, one needs to ID the reserved site # & somehow determine what side/entrance to use, and not worry about the bridge closed warning. A simple addition to the signs of which sites are accessed on each entrance road, would be a common sense improvement.

- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
