I stayed in August of 2025. It looks to me like it has been under construction. Small trees & very little grass between spots. One section does look like resident campers. They have all the shade. From what I gathered it can be full when major construction is happening around the area. I gave it a 4 stars, since there are no half stars. Because you are charged for a booking reservation & nights stay $25 for reservations plus the cost per night. In my experience booking fee is thrown in to night stay. PS… pool is green, not being taken care of. Needs 24 hr treatment by professional to get clear .

I stayed here January of 2023. My review is no longer showing. Not sure if they changed the name? When we stayed it looked like long term people were living there and it was certainly not a “resort” for nightly travelers. Nothing was level and there were huge holes we discovered as my husband tried to hook up and fell in one. No lights (we arrived at night) and no workers. Toilets were outside what was supposed to be the restroom and there were ax markings on the doors to the restrooms. We did not feel safe at all.
We did get a refund and only stayed one night (arrived at 10pm with nowhere else to go). We could never get ahold of anyone but they sure contacted us after the first negative review.
I’m posting again bc we just drove by and I was curious if this place ever got better. From the looks of the reviews, this place is still “under construction” which is not posted on their website. The photos posted did not convey what was truly there and I found it suspicious there were so many 5 star reviews. Take notice of the disparity in these reviews as you read them. And mine was no longer listed.
I highly recommend you ask for proof this place is up to standard before you book. I know a lot can change in 2 years but there are people still saying the same thing and I don’t want anyone getting duped.

This place is a joke. It is under construction and there were 10 sites but most of them look like people that stayed there a long time. I had reserved one spot and we were moved to another spot. I asked for pull thru, hoping we could keep our automobile connected. But the campsite was so uneven that we had to unhook, just to get the trailer level. there is no pool, it's all grown up with weeds around it. And nobody around, it might be a nice place someday, but not now.

Not sure where they got the pictures that are posted but the Camp Ground isn't even close to being nice.
Grass was knee deep everywhere... Lots were so unlevel my class A couldn't even auto level it's self and the pool hadn't been cleaned in awhile, it had a slimy feel to it.
Looks like they were trying to fix the place up and just gave up halfway through it.
Electric was newer on the lot I was on... But the sewer was at the front of my motorhome and the sewer pipe was oblong so my house wouldn't fit in it. The water was good to go.
I spoke with an another guy camping there and he said it has looked like this for awhile now with no one working on anything
$49.00 a night for something I shouldn't have paid $10.00 a night for.
It was close to town and worked for an evening but honestly I will never go back.
Gunn Park is a local park with water and electricity for $20.00... best deal in town

Staying three nights in Fort Scott in cabin #3 was a fun escape from the everyday for my husband and me. We enjoyed using the kitchen, stayed warm and cozy with the heater, and appreciated the responsive host! Looking forward to coming back to do some more exploring! Thanks, Lexi!!
