What Guests Are Saying
Curtis Creek Campground is well-maintained and offers a beautiful, peaceful environment with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts. Guests appreciate the great fishing and scenic views of the lake, making it a popular destination for families. However, some areas need improvements, such as upgrading the bathrooms and adding 50-amp service in certain loops, as well as addressing some unlevel campsites.

We stayed for two nights after the Memorial Day weekend. We had a spot right on the lake and we were practically by ourselves, with only one other site occupied on our loop. The park is well designed and maintained. We used it as a jumping off spot to visit the Eisenhower Presiential Library in Abilene, which was fantastic.
If you enjoy fishing and/or boating, this seems like a great place to stay.

Your camp host & custodians go above & beyond to make sure your stay is great.
We did have problems with you having to shut the water off 3 times and electricity off twice. & You need to get 50 amp in campground C & A.. must campers now use 50amp. Please that is the biggest issue & when you have to shut down the whole area because of water lines breaking.

Bathrooms were new and kept clean. Good view of lake and sites were spaced nicely. Showers were a short drive or bike ride.

THe bathrooms need updating. Very buggy. We were there during a horrible storm, that chased us from one end of the state to this location. We weathered it quite well and had a beautiful sunset that lasted for over 45 minutes. Very clean campground, till a new person moved in and let her rather large dog, poop all over the place and she didn't clean it up. There was no one to complain to. Other then that large issue it was a very nice, pleasant quiet and clean campground. A bit away from the town, we stayed for 2 nites. Would consider camping there again and see about renting some canoe's, or kayaks if there were any available.

The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the slope of our site. Looked like most of them in our loop had bad slopes. Bugs bad too but no fault to the campground on that. Beautiful sunsets over the water every night.
