Rockhaven Park Campground and Equestrian Area offers well-marked trails, clean amenities, and a pleasant camping experience, especially for horse enthusiasts. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, shaded campsites, and accommodating hosts, making it a favorite among visitors. However, some areas, particularly trails, need maintenance, and the lack of water hookups and occasional non-equestrian campers in designated spots were mentioned as concerns.

The park staff were kind and courteous, the other campers were supremely respectful, and it made for a really special night for one of my daughter’s first camping trips!

When we arrived at the horse camp the horse pens had not been cleaned at all. There was horse manure in many places throughout the camp site, It was as if the previous campers let their horses roam and made no attempt to clean where the horses deficated. It would be greatly appreciated if the park ranger could do a drive through on the day people are leaving and insure they leave the pens clean or receive a ticket that has some consequence. Either a fine or not allowed to use the campsite for a period of time.

Beautiful campground and trails. Challenging terrain but not dangerously so. Appreciate the corrals being well-maintained and close to campsites, with attention to shade and water for horses. Would be nice to have water available at campsites for campers, and dump station nearby. Camp host was extremely friendly and helpful and experienced campers were helpful in sharing tips and trail guide information. Appreciate the trails being dedicated to walkers and horses versus open to bikes - this is a big plus and we will be back with friends!
