The park is not being maintained. Since 2022 there is one bathroom that still does not have hot water. The Corp says the hot water tank is back ordered. Since last year? There are faucets that are leaking that we told the Corp last year that was leaking. I am extremely disappointed as my tax dollars goes in the fund to help maintain the park. There is no camp hosts due to no people requesting signing up to be a camp hosts. Of course, when you work the camp hosts that were there to death..who wants to work. The Rangers just drive around but do not interact with the campers at all. A little bit of chit chat and really listening to the campers need goes a long way. Unfortunately, the park is not the same park.

Cottonwood Point is our favorite campground. We are retired and can enjoy camping during the week, leaving weekends for those still working. We were surprised how few people were camping while we were there (9/7-11). There are a whole bunch of people missing out on one of the best campgrounds in Kansas.

Marion Lake Cottonwood Point is one of our favorites to camp at. We really enjoy the area around sites 100, 98 , that area. Most of the time it's pretty quiet. I wish the trail was kept up alittle better in the trees but it's still one you can walk through. More trails would be nice too. But if you can get a site with trees it's pretty nice.

Other campers had dogs that they did not control nor keep on leashes. We have 2 dogs and we always have them on leashes. While walking them we had 2 campsites that had dogs that let their dogs run out to us and our dogs. One was super scary and my husband said something to the guy but the guy didn't care. I wished this was enforced a little more.

No gate host is troubling. No one to contact if we had issue with our campsite. Grass needed to be mowed. Do not understand why empty camp host spots are not reservable. That would be additional revenue for the campground. Used to feel safer there when camp hosts were nearby.

Nice location, but the grass isn’t being mowed regularly.

Beautiful area. Our site was waterfront and very spacious. The site was a little tricky getting into because it was L shaped and we had to maneuver our 40' Class A around so we could hook up. But it worked out fine. And we had lots of room. There was a shelter with a picnic table and a grill. We stayed 3 days. Visit the Oz Museum while you're there, it was interesting.
