We've camped in many places around this area and we love Cottonwood Point as one of the best. The concrete covered patios at every sight is very useful and the fire pits are placed perfectly ar the campsite. Quiet, clean, priced great and well organized area perfect for our home away from home.

Noticed a couple of trees that are partially dead - sad, because that means less shade.
Poison Ivy around in some areas by the waters edge as well - just need to be careful. Water level down and blue-green algae warning so we didn't get in the water. Love the resevoir for camping - clean and at our area, good parking for camper and our 2 vehicles. Crew came to mow while we were there and they were very respectful of our vehicles. Glad these camping spots were reopened after being off limits for a couple of years. Would love more spots with sewer, but glad the electricity has been updated to allow for 50amp.
We love coming to this lake to camp, but we do miss the summer hosts!

The shelter was absolutely filthy. We had to clean and hose it out before we could even use it. Only one light worked and it was not good. Also, the grill was completely full of ashes from previous use and had to be cleaned before we could use it.

Nice lake, love all the trees. The loop campsite at cottonwood point is quiet, we really enjoyed our sites on the waters edge. Hook-ups are convenient and user friendly. Shelter, grill and fire-ring all appreciated.

Site 107 is an end site with a very good water view and decent privacy. Nice evening shade. The site is rock and is rock to the picnic table cover so no real grass outside of your door. You can pull further forward in the site to get more grass and be adjacent to the picnic table shelter, limiting the privacy from the next site. Site is exposed to south wind so may limit your use of awnings. Very good access to the water, but there was an algae alert in place during our visit. Bath/shower house is about 100 yards up the road and it was well maintained.

Cottonwood Point has always been a peaceful trip for us. The campsites are well spaced and equipped with a sheltered picnic table (on a slab), lantern post, bbq grill and fire ring.

Clean. Kept up well. Freshly mowed. Trash, electric and water very accessible. Plenty of tables and parking. It was pretty hot, but that was just the day. Very reasonable price.
