What Guests Are Saying
French Creek is a clean and peaceful campground with ample space for camping and good fishing opportunities. Visitors appreciate its beauty and quiet atmosphere, ideal for kayaking without motorboat interference. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, such as the need for more frequent mowing and supplies in the bathrooms, but overall, it offers a pleasant outdoor experience.

One of the very rare places in Kansas, that I could paddle my canoe without having to worry about being hit by a motorboat.

The campground has two separated loops and a boat launch. No showers. However, it is a smaller campground, and if you can find a spot away from people with dogs, music, and loud boating activities, you can find a piece of quiet enjoyment. Park is maintained, and French creek offered a great kayaking experience.

With the exception of 2 days I was the only person in the entire campground so it was very nice. It's a pretty campground but there wasn't a host and the dump station was padlocks so I had to drive to my next destination with full tanks. That was gross. However other than that it was a very nice place to be.

Off season solitude. The stars at night were amazing and we saw a white owl flying which was beautiful. When we plugged into the electric box and turned on our furnace it caused a terrible sound so we ended up unplugging and used our generator instead. Not sure what that was all about but it was strange. The lake is sadly low. But you can’t beat $12 for a night stay in our travels and it was peaceful and quiet.

Campground and camp sites are very well maintained. The vault toilets were super clean. Sites are generously spaced. Would definitely stay here again.

Would have given this campground a higher rating but the maintenance crew arrived around 6:30PM and were there making noise and dust until after 9:00PM, making it difficult do enjoy the outdoors.
