What Guests Are Saying
Slough Creek offers beautiful, spacious campsites with stunning lake views, making for a peaceful camping experience. Many campers appreciate the friendly park staff and well-maintained grounds, although the bathroom and shower facilities need significant improvement. Despite some issues with cleanliness and site layout, overall, visitors enjoy their time at the campground and plan to return.

So calm and peaceful. Being lake front gave me an unobstructed view of the thunderstorms rolling through!

Loved how secluded it was.
Space was great.
The only things we didn’t like was there are a lot of ticks, lot of wasps, and quite a bit of spiders. When it rained it deff flooded in some areas.
The bathrooom was a tad bit sketchy. Deff bring some light of some sort for this area.
Minus those few things it was great. We enjoyed our time.
We will deff be renting this site again.

The hosts are exceptional! The fire pits were clean and the mowing was done while we were there!! Overhanging trees did need trimmed. Thank you!!

Very nice campground. Only thing on my wishlist would be if the weeds along the lake were cut so could get to the water’s edge or at least some paths.

Overall, Southpoint campground is a great spot, nice and level for the trailers.
The only drawback could possibly be the shower houses need some attention. They are looking pretty rundown and could be cleaner.
The biggest problem is navigating the website for reservations. I feel like it could be refined just a little bit.

Bathrooms are filthy. Showers need repair. Not one single toilet looks like it has been cleaned for years. Other than that - great location and view.

We had a nice level site with shade and a view of the lake. Only recommendation would be to ask for signage to site numbers. It would help to know which road to follow to get to our site number. Just going by the map wasn't helpful for me.

We enjoyed our stay, the only thing we didn’t like was even with the gate closed and the sign that said road closed people kept opening the gate and coming in. But we love the location.
