We love Holmes Bend. It is always clean and the spots are nice and roomy. The shade trees are definitely a bonus. Will continue to stay here!

The picnic table needs to be dug out. It is so low you can sit comfortably.

This is our second time camping at Holmes Bend and I absolutely LOVE it! Friendly staff and the perfect place to camp. Quick and easy entrance to the lake and a playground area for kids. This was our first time using our camper and it was nice being able to fill up our water tank there and also able to clean out our tanks as well. 100% recommend this campground to everyone.

campground looked nice but of three toilets in the men's bathhouse only one worked. One was plugged and the other had the seat torn off. Sites were large and flat. A nice walking trail from the campgrounds .

This is one of the of the most beautiful campgrounds we have spent a week at. Site 105 was in the trees at the end of a cul-de-sac. Quiet and secluded.
The dense tree overhang gave it a rain forest fell. A variety of shaded and open air sites. Most sites are back in with a few pull thru. The park attendants are also some of the nicest we have yet to meet. They said the cell service is weak but we had good enough Verizon service to run internet connection and make calls. Overall it was a truly pleasant experience. The last few miles leading into the campground was very picturesque. Be sure to have your camera ready. Many deer in the area and they were very comfortable with the humans.

We were so impressed with the volunteer camp host couple, Larry and Barb Gullet! They stopped by to greet us after we set up, and when we told them we planned to rent a boat, they gave us a map of the lake and surrounding area. When we said we love the Corps parks, they gave us a disc of all the Corps parks nationwide! They were so helpful and friendly! The park is pretty and has some nice hiking trails. You do have to exit the campground to access the lake. There is a nice swimming beach and marina right down the road. Complaints: bathrooms and showers could use a good cleaning. So many unsupervised kids riding bikes on the roads within the campground. We had a hard time getting them to move off to the side so we could get past in our car.
