Dog Creek used to be a great place. This year it has changed for the worse. The bath houses are disgusting! Absolutely filthy! There’s never any soap to wash your hands with and half the time I have to take my own toilet paper. The feminine hygiene bins are overflowing and disgusting. The showers are filthy. I feel cleaner swimming in the lake than I would taking a shower at the bath house. Last year the bath house was always clean. In fact every time I was there the cleaners were there cleaning in the morning. Would actually smell like bleach. Soap dispensers were always full and always had toilet paper. If you’re camping in a tent this is definitely not the place to camp because you have no other option but to use the bath house. It’s sad how far down this place has gone. Since I have reserved my camping here I will have to put up with it this summer. Too hard to get sites anywhere else now because sites have to be reserved way in advance to get one. If it weren’t for the lake I would cancel. It’s a shame because this campground used to be so well kept. I have made many calls and complaints to the corps of engineers and their excuse is that it’s a new cleaning business and they are having difficulty finding workers. Then the owner of the business should be down there cleaning it or quit. They definitely shouldn’t be paid. If this place was inspected it would be shut down. Something needs to be done about this!

The campground itself when we got there for about the first 4 days The grass was extremely tall
We were there from Thursday till Sunday and we only seen a park ranger go through one time.
We never did see a sheriff or anybody go through the campground.
The attendance only work a couple hours a day.
The campground itself is beautiful but the security in the campground is very lacking.

Dog Creek Campground has the most beautiful views we've had camping yet! Nolin Lake is so pretty words just cannot describe. The campsites are level with plenty of room around them. The way that the sites are laid out we always had a view of the lake even when someone took the site behind us. I only have two small complaints. First, I wish the grass had been cut shorter. Second, the showers weren't as clean as I would like. Not a deal breaker. I understand with lots of people and it being the weekend that it would be hard to keep up with. If you plan to watch tv or play on your phone this is not the campground for you. Absolutely no service until you drive towards the exit or the playground. I loved that the playground was not near the campsites. This is a quiet relaxing camping experience.

Site 17 was flat but in the sun. We camped in June, the weather was cool so it wasn't really an issue. Stayed 5 days. Campground was clean. People were friendly. Lots of shady spots. Tons of primitive campsites. People were using the beach every day.

The reservation process is so complicated and even tho we check it periodically- we are never able to get an electric lot for Memorial Day weekend but can all the other months that we reserve camp sites. Should make the process easier for people who don’t know how to use these websites

A great clean place to camp . Course we didn't need the bathrooms . And volunteers were awesome. We had spot B-20 and it right on the water of Nolin Lake. We camped last year same spot and this year too.

We really like Dog Creek as you can see the lake from most all the sites, it also quite m9st of the time and generally well cared for. However this time the grass REALLY needed cutting.
