Hurricane Creek Campground offers a beautiful lakeside experience with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many visitors. Guests appreciate the spacious and well-kept sites, with many enjoying scenic views and a quiet atmosphere. However, some have noted issues with site accessibility, narrow roads, and the need for improvements in the bathhouse and certain sites. Overall, it remains a recommended destination for camping enthusiasts.

Site we had was very spacious easy to get in and out. Nice view of the lake, would be much nicer view in the summer months. My biggest complaint is there is no wifi or sevice available to watch tv. I know I am camping and that probably shouldn't matter. But when a tropical storm comes through the weekend your there, it's hard to enjoy yourself with nothing to do in your rv. There is a very large Verizon tower right next to the campsite. Why not look into getting service off of it. Just raise the cost of the sites to offset the hookup. Probably will not return to this place.

Dump station was plugged up, took 3 hrs to get someone there to try and fix it.. finally rain a sewer line down the hill into another drain. Large wedding across the bay with music so loud it rattled our windows. Mercifully they shut down at 10 pm, music selection was aweful. Due to the small size and outdated facilities doubt we will ever go back.

This is a very quiet campground but very few sites for big rigs. Every site is shaded. Several drive thru sites. Access to the water and boat launch is close by.

Great place to relax for a COE camp. Boat ramp sites are a bit busy/noisy, camp hosts are very nice and helpful. lake side has flies (typical of water) some mosquitos. rear or away from water has more mosquitos than flies but also more secluded. great escape - books up very fast

This is a beautifully designed campground such that, though there are quite a few sites in a relatively small area, they do not seem at all crowded together. The placement of the sites within the topography of the campground area is what makes the ambiance so pleasing. In addition there are two distinct "fingers" of the Barkley Lake ion the edge of the campground so that many of the sites have water views. The most wonderful thing about our stay at Hurricane Creek in early October was observing the flock of white American pelicans stopping over on their way south. It was fascinating to watch how he flock behaved and how they fished in the shallows of the bays.

The park was very clean and quiet! The site was on the water, #5 and everything was in working order and the bathrooms/showers were clean even though older. Enjoyed my short stay and will definitely stay again!

The arrangement of the tent sites below backing sites is really bizarre. Tent campers moving in between other sites to setup and take down is weird. This should be corrected.
