There is some nice walking trails and a cave you can go into at your
own risk camp host is very nice

The sites were wooded and decent size. The road is tight but that's to be expected in campgrounds that are wooded. The staff was great, very clean. Nice views of the lake and fishing docks too. My only complaint would be how hot the shower rooms are. They don't necessarily need ac but they need some airflow at least. Other than that great campgrounds.

This campground is one of the nicest areas we've stayed. The Park Attendants were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The Club Car they used was a very nice amenity. We stayed at Site #13. Lots of shade, and easy access to the boat ramp. You do have to walk up the hill to get from the ramp to your site, though. Our site was shaded, water and electricity for 30- and 50-amp service was available. Parking out pop-up was easy, getting into and out of the site location. Directions to Cave Creek are posted along the route. Closer to the boat ramp, there is playground equipment and benches to site, enjoy the environment, and watch your kids play on the equipment. The campsite is built on a hillside, overlooking Rough River Lake. We are looking to book here again, probably close to the boat ramp, which means closer to the watch, to watch the sun come up and go down. We would recommend this campground to others. Really nice place to stay.

My campsite was level. I didn’t have to do any leveling of my camper, which was very nice and we had a great view of the water.
Everything was clean and nice. I was very pleased. It was my first time staying there. I had a little trouble finding the dump station at the end, but there it was.

Take US-31W/KY-62/Wendell H Ford Western Kentucky Parkway/Hodgenville/Paducah, Exit Number 91, toward Paducah/Elizabethtown/Owensboro/Western Kentucky Parkway W, traveling 29.6 miles. Take KY-259/Leitchfield/Brownsville, Exit Number 107, traveling .3 miles. Turn right onto S Main Street/KY-259, traveling .9 miles. Take 3rd exit from roundabout Courthouse Square onto W Main Street/KY-54, traveling 10.9 miles. Turn right onto Falls of Rough Road/KY-79, traveling 4.6 miles. Turn right onto Cave Creek Road KY-736, traveling 1.8 miles. End at 1543 Cave Creek Road, Falls of Rough, KY. Distance is approximately 90 miles with an approximate travel time of 1.5 hours.

Policies & Rules
General
- Off-road vehicles are not permitted
- No alcohol allowed due to local Grayson County ordinance.
- Park Attendant can be reached while on duty at (270) 879-4304. If no answer, contact the Rough River Lake U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office at (270) 257-2061.
- $5 per day boat ramp fee
- Reservations will not be marked in advance at the campsite. Do not set up at any campsite without reserving the site first.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Generators and other noise-producing devices must be turned off during this time.
