Still Waters Campground

Great campground located on the river. Staff was wonderful. Our campsite was perfect for us. My daughter and I had a great time!

That "dynamic nature" of pricing must have kicked when i stayed in mid April. I was charged $210 for 3 days water and electric only. Now, that being said...I loved the location the campground is right on the Elkhorn Creek. They have some kayaks for guest to use but at the time it was too chilly to enjoy the amenities. I would stay there again it was peaceful and quiet for the 3 nights I was there. Had it been warmer it would have been a better experience for $210.

We ended up getting to leave early, so we called and asked if we could check in a day early. They said no problem. I told them that I would not be able to check in by 4:00pm when the office closed. Upon arrival, office was closed. I looked around and nothing was left for us. No site number, no info, nothing. Luckily, there was a man who was working and I asked him if he could help us. We waited about 20 minutes and finally he told us our site number. We went to our site, which was a simple, back in with water and electric. The site was gravel, which was fine, but was overgrown with grass and weeds and had not been mowed recently. Most of the occupants were permanent residents who had a lot of junk around their rigs. I would not stay here again, and I definitely wouldn’t stay here if I had kids. The bath houses were okay, but this was not worth the price. In fact, we left two days early. I chose this place because of its location to Frankfort, but for what we paid a night, I basically got to park in a field with electric and a water pump that did not work correctly.

Staff at the campground went above and beyond to make sure my stay here is perfect. The campground is beautiful, quiet, and everyone is so nice. I will be back! Thank you for being so caring and addressing my unusual needs.

Stayed for the day to float the Elkhorn! One of my favorite summer traditions is to get on the tube and spend 1.5-3 hours floating along and enjoying the Kentucky wildlife. I love this spot since it is on a U-Bend. Park at the end point and it's just a short 10 min walk to launch (although everyone is so friendly you're pretty much guaranteed to get offered a ride or two).

I can't say much for the camping/RV amenities, since I live nearby, but the office is clean and the rest of the campground appears well maintained.
