Pros: campground appears well maintained, clean, and was quiet, which we appreciated. We only stopped for the night to get some rest while passing through. They had many nice amenities (large playground, blow up slides for kids, pool with slides, yard games, a picnic area). And it was close to highway which made it an ideal stop for a simple overnight rest.
Cons: Sites are fairly close together, not all have a fire pit. In all our years camping, I’ve never been billed separately for electricity usage. Especially given the pretty high site fee. Finally, the road to get there gets narrower as you go! And we were surprised the speed limit was marked as 55 on one that had some blind hills and curves and lots of driveways. The locals definitely took full advantage and were zooming (well over 55 if you ask me). I know the width and speed aren’t really a fault of the campground, but it is something to be aware of if you stop here.
Tip: they could use a few trash cans around the common areas. I picked up quite a bit of trash around the playground while our kids played. I did eventually spot a can near the bouncies, but I think had there been one or two closer to the picnic table by the playground there wouldn’t have been as much garbage left behind.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whispering hills. If you are in the area, this is the best park to stay at. The spots are large, and very well maintained. The staff is wonderful, the owners are always on site, they make sure everything is running smoothly. The park has a pool and 🛝 slide, and playground with inflatables for the kids. The catch and release pond is amazing, we have caught something every time we fished. If you love animals, this is a place to be, they have Canadian geese, and baby geese. I also want to mention the park cats, they are absolutely amazing. I absolutely fell in love with those kitties. 🐈⬛ If you see a grey cat his name is gizmo, just give him some food, and he will be your best friend and give you lots of love. There is a beautiful tiger striped black and dark brown kitty, she lives in the forest and has kittens that she takes care of, if you see her, she is skittish, but if you feed her, she will warm up to you. Overall, it is a clean, well mentioned park with lots of amenities and great staff! You will enjoy you stay!

We stayed here last year and had a great experience. This year, there is fecal matter all over the basketball court and the playground area. When I called the office to ask if someone would be able to come clean this off, I was told “It’s goose poop. We clean it once every few days and we are not coming to clean it right now. We can’t stop the geese.” Very disappointed with the customer service and cleanliness.

Nice campground, but sites are tight and close to each other. It's fine for a day or two, but not longer. You have to pay extra for your electric usage. There's a gun range nearby where you hear shooting all day. It didn't both us, but it might for some.

We booked a site for 5 nights here and paid the extra $15 to lock in the site we wanted-right by what looked like a nice pond. The RV resort is nice, staff was friendly and helpful, they have lots of amenities including a bar and karaoke stage, and great play areas for kids. I wish they would have shared on their website that the pond is home to multiple pairs of very noisy, aggressive and messy Canadian geese-we would have selected a site on the west side instead (away from the pond!). The geese were constantly honking and fighting with each other, were not the least bit afraid of people or pets and pooped everywhere-we had to constantly watch where we walked as they came right up on the sites day and night. It’s a nice place to stay if you get a site away from the pond!
