What Guests Are Saying
The Narrows Campground offers clean restrooms, friendly hosts, and spacious campsites with beautiful views, making it a favored choice for many campers. However, some reviews note a decline in maintenance since COVID, with issues like overgrown grass, unlevel sites, and inconsistent amenities. Despite these concerns, visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and are eager to return.

Nero support the entire time, check-in booth empty the entire time. That would be fine if the folks that man the booth were out in the park doing stuff like clean up or improvements, but they were not. They could be over cleaning the other section after flooding so they could open that section, but they were not. They could be repairing the bathroom in section A so they could open it, but they were not. It is basically a patch of land that someone at one point turned into an RV park but now sits unattended. Tree limbs threw out to include the dumb site area are hanging low and scratching RV's as they drive by.

This is a great RV site with all the essential amenities—power, water, and lots of space between sites. It’s clearly designed with RVs in mind, so as the only tent campers, we felt a bit out of place. One downside: they advertised firewood but didn’t have any available, per the website no outside firewood was allowed. however, we saw one camper with a trailer full of wood.

We love The Narrows and go every year, but "mother nature" intervened this year and caused us to go a day late and leave 2 days early. The lake was very high and it caused campsites to be closed and it also caused the bath house in our loop to be closed. But, we will return next year!

Overall, this was a pretty good site. Even though it was cloudy during most of our stay, it seems there would have been plenty of shade. Leveling our 30 trailer was a bit challenging. We had to raise our front jack higher than we were really comfortable with. Although the sites are close together, the way this site is arranged gave us the impression of plenty of space and there was quite a bit of open area between us and the "cliff" above the lake. When hooking up water, make should you bring a long hose because the spigot is on the "wrong" side and is shared with the next door site. Due to the recent flooding and the closing of half of the campground, the A loop bathrooms were closed and we were told to use the bathhouse in the closed B loop. This was a bit of an inconvenience, but it'll fix itself once the lake recedes.

We were in site A21. The packed gravel pad was nice and level with plenty of room for our Clam if we had wanted to set it up, but since we spent most of out time at Mammoth Cave we didn't bother. One note was that the water faucet was 30' or so from the pad, so if you use this site make sure you have a long hose (we did). The bathhouse was very clean and well kept, but the showers could use a little more water pressure. Overall a very nice campground, I would stay there again.

Our site was long enough for our 40 ft RV and held our jeep and boat for boating on the lake. It was clean. Sites could use more gravel and leveling but it was a nice experience.

We enjoyed our stay, camphost were very helpful. As in other reviews, yes the grass was long but it was mowed while we were there. It's definitely not as well manicured as other COE campgrounds we have stayed at. Our sited was sloped and it took 4 of the lego to get the front up but doable. We could see the water a bit thru the trees. There was good antenna TV and we had 2-3 bars of Verizon cell coverage. The water spigot is shared between 2 campsites so make sure to bring and extra hose. The campground was quiet and peaceful, we will be back if in the area again.
