Canal Campground is highly praised for its spacious and clean sites, friendly hosts, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite among campers. Visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and biking. While some noted minor issues like dated showers and occasional noise from golf carts, the overall experience remains positive, with many planning to return.

Canal Campground is our favorite local campground. We love it. We stayed at site 82 this last time and it was nice big site. We were able to part our Dodge Ram, 10' gold cart trailer and gold cart all on our site. We have a 28' bumper pull camper and the site was pretty level but we did use our Anderson leveling ramps on the drivers side to get the camper perfectly level. It was off by much but I like everything to be spot on. The fire pit is in the back corner which is what we like. This site is close to the water and view of the playground. We did encounter ALOT of mayflies and bugs. We normally have our rope lights around our site but the bugs were so bad around the lights we couldn't sit outside so we didn't use them after the first night. Normally the bath houses are pretty clean. This time they were not. I was very surprised. The attendants are always very nice. We highly recommend this campground.

The staff is always helpful and nice. Like being able to ride your golf cart down to Grand rivers.

We enjoy taking our golf cart and being able to ride down to Grand Rivers. Riding the golf cart or our bikes around the park is really nice.

Nice pull through site with water and electric next to the lake. Kind of stinky when the breeze stilled. Lots of golf carts making the rounds around the campground.

First time camping here and will definitely be going back. The only downfall to our site was it was on a hillside and we had really no room to sit right our of our camper. A tiny camper would do great .

A strategic location of natural beauty near the water with lots of friendly fellow campers. The amenities and within close proximity to your campsite. There's a lot to do for a day trip there too. A day strolling Grand Rivers and having a meal at the famous Patti's, shopping the little boutiques or just a pizza at Cabin Pizza. Nature hiking and the LBL Trace show off a beautiful array forest and wildlife in their natural habitat. You can even drive to the elk and bison range to witness these magnificent creatures. We love choosing Canal for many, many reasons! We love it and so will you!

The site we had scheduled was too windy for a pop up. The attendant relocated us to another site and all was good!
