We had a 5 night stay in April on Site #59. This was our first COE, but we were very impressed. The site itself was very level for our 31ft travel trailer. Water and Electric (Dump station at entrance). It had a nice water view and an extra table that could be used for a grill, etc. This site was near the beach, playground, bath house and laundry and was also shady. The park itself was well maintained. The bath house was clean and they had a washer and dryer located in an overhang area of the structure. The park is a bit hilly, so we did not ride our bikes. We found the park to be very quiet overall.

This campground is a hidden gem. Each site has electric and water, level sites, plenty of room, very clean restrooms. I had a great experience at Canal Campground and recommend to anyone.

great campground. Well managed and clean. Sites are reasonably level and large and nicely wooded. My only complaint is that there is no lights out policy at night. We had one neighber who had a bright white outside light on 24 hours a day and the park said it was OK. Good T Mobile service for internet.

My wife and I enjoyed our latest camping trip to Canal campground. The park is very large and nice. Sites are large and spaced a good distant from each other. Having said that, the interior roads could use some new blacktop. Our site number 47 was very difficult to back in, and very steep. The post identifying the site number directly across the drive for site 47, prevents you from entering in a straight approach. This was a full service site with sewer. Problem is what “engineer” raised the sewer pipe at least 10” higher than the site gravel pad. It makes it near impossible to use sewer. It is obvious that those designing these hook ups, are not rv’ers.

We stayed here the night before the 2024 eclipse. We arrived late and it was somewhat difficult to find our spot and there wasn't a clear check in process. But we didn't have any issues. The bathrooms were very clean. Even though there were a ton of bugs in the bathrooms at night, they immediately cleaned them in the morning.
