We were in the primitive area…and it certainly was……we left after one night…we asked if any other spots were available when we checked in…well, I didn’t even get my entire question out before I was abruptly told NO…..when we left 2 days early after being there just a few hours…they didn’t ask why…acted like this…may happen quite a lot…we loved on 5 miles down the road to a water front site that was absolutely stunning and the staff were spectacular…we will not return to Canal

We’ve been camping at the Canal for over 50 years. The attendants are friendly and makes us feel welcomed. The bathhouses are clean and the grounds are kept nice. Plus it’s close to Patti’s Settlement.

Had a great time. Just wish we stayed in a different space. It was a little tight with the spot in front and harder to pull out of when a camper is in that spot.

We always enjoy Grand Rivers and we also like going to Willow Pond Catfish to eat. It's nice to meet new people when we're camping.
