Recommend taking in the sunsets down by the sailboats. Also make sure to look for eagles they are everywhere and amazing.

There’s a lot going on at this campground. It was very busy on the weekend so golf carts, cars, lots of people, and the canal had lots and lots of loud boats driving by. All that being said we would camp there again.

The campground was as advertised. Because we added an overnight, we stayed one night at one site, then moved to a second site for three nights. each site was unique. Both were more than satisfactory. The only drawback to this site, through no fault of their own, is that it's a bit of a walk to downtown, but luckily we had a car available to us, so it wasn't an issue.

We were in the primitive area…and it certainly was……we left after one night…we asked if any other spots were available when we checked in…well, I didn’t even get my entire question out before I was abruptly told NO…..when we left 2 days early after being there just a few hours…they didn’t ask why…acted like this…may happen quite a lot…we loved on 5 miles down the road to a water front site that was absolutely stunning and the staff were spectacular…we will not return to Canal

We’ve been camping at the Canal for over 50 years. The attendants are friendly and makes us feel welcomed. The bathhouses are clean and the grounds are kept nice. Plus it’s close to Patti’s Settlement.
