What Guests Are Saying
Canal Campground is highly praised for its spacious and clean sites, friendly hosts, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite among campers. Visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and biking. While some noted minor issues like dated showers and occasional noise from golf carts, the overall experience remains positive, with many planning to return.

Campground is pretty much like it was when I was a kid in the 80s. Thats why I like it so much. Friendly staff and campers, very quiet campground, right on the water (I always stay on fisherman's row). The only negative thing I have to say is the bathhouses need renovating. They are usually very clean, but stall doors don't latch, the showers need hanging hooks, things like that. But overall, one of my favorite campgrounds!

Three words, "I love it". Canal is such a clean, friendly and beautiful place I will continue to camp here. From the wild life to the beach, the Canal is a 5 star camping spot. If you've not been here before, I recommend it and definitely don't forget your camera!

The camp looks great, very clean, and the hosts were very nice. The main problem was the site we chose. The host told me that I had probably picked the hardest site in the whole park and he was spot on. Site 10 be aware that it should only be for short campers.

Came in and set up in the rain, not real heavy. Got all situated and the rain quit. The weather was pleasant for the time of the year, didn't turn on the air till the day before we left.

It would’ve been a beautiful spot if there was a dead fish, all along the shoreline, all in the swimming area where kids play. There were decompose fish at every level. It was rather disgusting.

Our first time camping at Canal campground. We very much enjoyed our time there. Our site was big, level, shady and quiet. What more could a camper ask for!
