Better access to the water (clear the brush, dead leaves, etc) in the beach loop. The beach is also very dirty - lots of litter there. The rest of the water side along the loop can be tidied up and a path put in to avoid ticks etc for a bit more access to the water and for people who have pets and cannot leave them alone in a tent or a hot car since the beach is not pet friendly.

the camp itself is great..the hosts are wonderful. The grounds are kept nice. HOWEVER i visited ALL the bathroom/shower houses..and they were filthy. I watched the "cleaners' come and spend 20 minutes ..yeah believe it or not 20 minutes on the bath house. Showers, toilets etc. I owned a cleaning business for 35 years, NO WAY this could be done well in 20 minutes. I watched the male cleaner on his phone ...a lot. They took trash out of the big cans, on the "flats" and didnt empty bags, only carried trash across to the truck, dropping it along the way, not going back to retrieve it. I know it is bad nowadays hiring good help, but this is terrible. absolutely terrible.

This is a popular Park. It has some great sites but it's tough to get one due to their popularity. My favorite one is Site 114 in the Canal View loop. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The showers are a bit far from some of the sites so keep that in mind when selecting a site. The showers are in need of an upgrade. But there is good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Very convenient to LBL or Grand River. Bring plenty of insect repellent if you intend to hike any trails at LBL, I have nick-named it the Tick capital of the world!
