What Guests Are Saying
Canal Campground is highly praised for its spacious and clean sites, friendly hosts, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite among campers. Visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and biking. While some noted minor issues like dated showers and occasional noise from golf carts, the overall experience remains positive, with many planning to return.

Very nice Campground. We are new to camping and have been here twice and had a very nice experience both times. Love the Waterfront sites. Very nice people and facilities. Great Verizon coverage.

Canal campground is very nice. We were there on Memorial Day weekend and it was completely full. It was quiet and very peaceful.

Best thing was our site was so level that we backed our coach in and we were done! Site was large with water view. Loved biking and walking around. Almost everyone has a golf cart that they own or rent for driving around and driving into town for ice cream. We were only booked for one night because we were passing through. This would definitely be a place I would return to stay a few days and might even rent a cart!

Better access to the water (clear the brush, dead leaves, etc) in the beach loop. The beach is also very dirty - lots of litter there. The rest of the water side along the loop can be tidied up and a path put in to avoid ticks etc for a bit more access to the water and for people who have pets and cannot leave them alone in a tent or a hot car since the beach is not pet friendly.

the camp itself is great..the hosts are wonderful. The grounds are kept nice. HOWEVER i visited ALL the bathroom/shower houses..and they were filthy. I watched the "cleaners' come and spend 20 minutes ..yeah believe it or not 20 minutes on the bath house. Showers, toilets etc. I owned a cleaning business for 35 years, NO WAY this could be done well in 20 minutes. I watched the male cleaner on his phone ...a lot. They took trash out of the big cans, on the "flats" and didnt empty bags, only carried trash across to the truck, dropping it along the way, not going back to retrieve it. I know it is bad nowadays hiring good help, but this is terrible. absolutely terrible.
