I’m retired, widowed and a grandmother who travels with her german shepherds and we enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of dog people around us, so I think they understood the occasional barking from my dogs. There weren’t many trash receptacles for disposing of the waste the dogs made, but we made out.
If it had been warmer, we might have had a better time, but I enjoyed being away from home for our three day weekend. I was fortunate enough to sight a bald-eagle soaring overhead while enjoying a sunny afternoon view of the canal.
It’s a nice place to relax and we may return sometime.

Canal is a beautiful park! Quiet and peaceful. However, our site was not a level site. We would definitely go back to this campground, just not the specific site we had.
